In good solar conditions i.e. a clear view of the north sky from Dawn to Dusk, a good quality battery should last for 8+ years.

 The overall solar lighting system is designed based on information supplied by you the client. A reduction in lighting duration can be programmed but not an increase.

Due to the sail area of a solar array it is very unlikely an existing pole will have the structural strength to allow adding a solar light.

The lighting design is one of the main ingredients of the overall design so yes you can have the design customised to suit your project.
